Loading... Please wait...The fight for survival is real. You serve—or are preparing to serve—in the spiritually desolate areas of our world. The elements you face each day are intense. What can you do to prepare for the challenges? Dr. Robert Miller presents a preparedness strategy for surviving the wilderness of ministry that is helpful for the new and the experienced alike.
Developed by the Pioneers Member Development Team with pastor and author Dr. Robert Miller, the Spiritual Survival Handbook combines insight from cross-cultural church planters with contributions from theologians and thinkers in the area of spiritual formation and leadership. The handbook begins by exploring the world of identity and works outward to practical topics of spiritual warfare, relationships, leadership, and team-building.
Steve Richardson, president of Pioneers-USA, notes in the foreword, “I fully expect that the Spiritual Survival Handbook becomes one of a small number of key handbooks that will be used widely in Pioneers to guide and encourage our workers.”
Spiritual Survival Handbook for Cross-Cultural Workers, by Dr. Robert S. Miller, 111 pages, paperback, 2011.

Get it, use it. Believe the comments from the Foreword, Prologue, and back cover, and get into this book as soon as possible. You'll benefit from it today and for years to come. You need it, your family and team needs it, and both your ministry partners and others you are specifically sent to minister to, deserve the healthier servant you will be, through the exercise of the principles and practices outlined in this handbook.

This is one of the best books I have ever read for personal spiritual growth. We are considering using it for our training program.

Our organization is so deeply appreciative for this book which our training department is using. We also are seeing to it that our veterans on the field are receiving this succinct and very helpful book. The feed-back we have received has been that all have been blessed and that they wished they had had this Handbook their first term.
